Olga Hofmann

Olga Hofmann is a German artist. Born in Russia to the parents of German descent, she later moved to Germany with her family. Since her recent marriage to an American she resides in Southern California.
Olga is a versatile artist equally interested in different artistic styles and genres, which are ranging from conceptual art to portraits and from abstracts to realism.
The series of her diptychs is truly unique in its artistic concept and implementation. Painted in a realistic manner, Olga’s diptychs offer to a viewer an opportunity to observe same events depicted from the exact opposite perspectives, from the in front and from the beyond at the same time. In these diptychs the left part represents the “question” and the right is the “answer”, the “mystery” and the “revelation”. Each her diptych is like a short story, allegoric in its nature, always bearing some philosophical context enriched with a touch of humor and irony and being told by the artistic means.
